>>19048224Even then, I don't think they have to top them, but continue introducing more Legendaries based off of concepts. In Gen V you had the tao trio, with Reshiram and Zekrom representing truth and ideals, and in Gen VI you have creation, destruction, and balance/the ecosystem in the XYZ trio.
Anyways, Gen IV was slow but it introduced some pretty cool things, most especially the physical/special split. It was also when Dragons really started to reign with Pokemon like Salamence and Garchomp destroying all with their powerful Outrages.
The Sinnoh region is pretty neat with lots of places to explore, the music's not too bad, and to cross media for a bit, the DP series in the anime was pretty cool and probably where Ash was at his most competent (at the least, fully evolving two starters and some other Pokemon, and they were pretty decent ones to boot).
