Like many of us here on /vp/, the first Pokemon game that I played was Red. It was a truly special experience for me, and it really set the standard high for all RPGs I'd play in the future. While it's irrefutable that Generation I has a heavy abundance of nostalgia tied to it, I REALLY started to enjoy Pokemon when Diamond and Pearl came out back in '07.
I'm not sure why, but I'd sit on my bed and play Pearl for 8 hours a day when it first came out. I had that genuine wonder still. What Pokemon have I yet to discover? What moves will be good for this contest? Why is my screen so dirty and catching my stylus when I try to stir poffins?!
All of it mixed together was an experience that I'll cherish until my dying die.
So tell me, /vp/; Why do you love Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum?
