Weren't the remakes we got made just to make sure there's comparability between games? Once the systems got too advance for the older gens, they had to remake them, right?

Pokemon from gen 3 can technically be transferred to gen 6. Pokemon from gens 1 and 2 can't be transferred to gen 3. There's really no need for another remake.

I wonder about that, actually. I suspect he's working to take over his grandfather's research lab nowadays. Samuel Oak was an old man in Gen I, I expect that he's probably on his way to retirement by Gen VI.

Well, the main reason I'm expecting a remake is because while you can get from Gen 3 to 6 using an old DS or DS Lite, you can't do it with current hardware. I assume that's why it wasn't possible in Gen 5 either, due to the DSi being the newest handheld at the time.

I thought 3 took place roughly the same time as 1/2 (2 being a direct sequel to 1) while 4 took place a little after 2 (hence why Jasmine is doing her own thing.) then I get lost from their besides the obvious bw and bw2 sequelity.

Add another sequal to the Johto - Kanto arc with both accessible -again obvious route changes, some different pokemon (technology has linked all the pc's by now anyway) - then a Hoenn sequal game, a similar subtropic island feel with updated graphics and whatnot. Tell me remastered maps on the 3DS wouldn't be worth only that slight improvement in graphics. Think what Silver was to Red - in that range of improvement.

Hoenn sequel. Plot is Kyogre being tortured by some baddie. Lack of Kyogre causes oceans to slowly drain. Less water on the Hoenn map.

1/3 and 2/4 are happening concurrently, 5 is after 2/4 by an unknown couple of years. B2W2 is 2 years after BW and XY havent really given a substantial time reference. so at least 6 years but could be 10. BW the only real time reference is that the TR guy had a kid.

that would kinda bum the game, plus it'd be a one sided version of x and y - we don't necessarily need more land, we just need far better water if the ratio stays the same. Perhaps a more complex rehash of the two teams or a new team altogether - which with new mega stones and added tech could make Kyogre and Groudon, not to mention Rayquaza as huge focal points.

You could play the GB games on a GBA, and in the Advance generation all the Johto starters and legendaries could be caught through Colosseum and XD.

I have no idea where this "compatibility" thing came from, if they just wanted you to be able to catch em all they could just include the missing Pokemon in the existing fucking games.

They make the remakes to make money and that's it.

Time limits suck, and it would force you to get to a certain point in an amount of time, thus taking away form actually enjoying playing the game.
Plus the kiddies might not even be able to make it in time.
