As for me, I liked the story, the music and how the gameplay was more smooth than gen 4. Can't actually say I was fond of the pokemon designs, but on the other hand, I lost interest in pokemon in general after Emerald, and Gen 2 was the only gen where I liked most of the pokemons.
BW2 was way better in everything, but the amount of people who just skipped that game because of BW is incredible.
