There's no good reason to think that it's going to be in the game. Mewtwo, and Jigglypuff has a better chance than Sceptile does. I wouldn't be surprised if even fucking Genesect and Blaziken have a better chance than it does. If they wanted a grass starter they could just...wow, bring Ivysaur back, because it already has dedicated players and they already have the moveset.

greninja is in solely because it is from gen 6 and is popular, lucario is in because is was new at the time of brawl and was popular
even a remake isn't enough an excuse to put it in and if they did put a gen 3 mon in it would be blaze chicken because it by far the most popular
they don't care about the type trio because type trio doesn't create hype, pokemon people like creates hype.

And to the rest of this thread: Did just mentioning Sceptile bring out the "Hoenn Confirmed" fags? I'm in favor of possible remakes but those of you cry and whine about a remake make me sick.

It's every two handheld generations we get a remake, so that way there's a big enough graphical leap for it to be worth it. Sinnoh remakes will be on whatever the successor to the 3ds is.

Remember when Sakurai stated that the characters that could transform into different characters were broken up so players could learn just one moveset? Well, Charizard was the one taken from Pokemon Trainer, so technically Squirtle and Ivysaur were cut.

this isn't pokemon, this is smash bros types don't exist. Blaziken is the most relevant having received a mega and being featured in the anime. Blaziken is also a fighting type pokemon and this is a fighting game.
