In gen 5, you bike back and forth on a bridge collecting feathers; Sell the "Pretty wing"s and keep the rest, or only keep the two you're training in. Ideally, get 252 of each stat you want.
Of course, you could cut that down to 152 and buy 10 of each corresponding Vitamin; Each vitamin (Carbos, Iron, Zinc, etc.) adds 10 EVs to a stat, but they unfortunately cap at 100. Why on earth GameFreak hasnt changed this is probably just because no one fucking cares; We're not spending 49,000 to get a whopping 50 goddamn speed EVs (which means 12 points at level 100, mind you. 13 with a benefitting nature) especially not when Super Training does it for free, even to kiddies
