Rotom ends up possessing what each of the forms is centered around.
Ex: The ice cubes for Rotom-F, the grass clippings for Rotom-M, the water of Rotom-W, etc.

And that's when everyone realizes how uninspired the franchise has become and it dies.

Why would they change that?
We got over this already, rotom is an electric spirit.
So, when he possesed something, he is inside the object and you're hiting that object, not rotom directly.

all of its forms will be ghost/grass, ghost/fire, etc. instead of being electric/grass, electric/fire, etc. those odd typings make it much harder to go against than if it has permanent dark and ghost weaknesses.

they're electric because they're being energized.
