In the end 4kids was not that bad in their dubbing aside from cutting 1 episode which was mainly due to the Parents television council. They showed guns originally in "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad" before the Pokemon boom which prompted PTC to start heckling 4kids about the show, so it wasn't entirely their fault.
Pokemon was about the only thing 4kids did right.
