Well now, Pokemon Y was kind of a letdown. But since I own a 3DSXL now, are there any titles that are must-plays?

I already beat Link Between Worlds (it came with the system). Fun while it lasted, but not really acclaim-worthy.

Kirby Triple Deluxe is well crafted and a must for anyone who has ever enjoyed a Kirby game before. It's got a 4 person multiplayer that works like smash bros where you fight using the different powers and it's download play so you only need one copy of the game.

Fire Emblem is a must have if you like RPGS, Mario Kart is good for multiplayer shenanigans, Donkeykong, 3Dland and kirby are all decent platformers, and Smash Bros is coming out soon

You should try out the Denpa Men series. It's pretty good. The first game is a nice little intro to the series. If you want the full RPG experience right away, then you can start with Denpa Men 2. However, this game can be hard as balls at times and bosses will fuck your shit if you're not prepared. The third game is being released on the 8th or 9th this week.

Wow, your post numbers were so close I had to double check em. While it's true the game is a bit simplistic they've made thigns a bit more interesting. Wispy Woods actually put up a fight this time. The boss battles, and some of the midboss battles so far have been quite fun. Overall Triple Deluxe is totally worth it.

Do yourself a favor and pick up Dragon Quest IX for the DS. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 is pretty good, too, and it's a 'mons game sorta like Pokemon is. Later installments of the Dragon Quest Monsters series actually do shit to keep your early-game bros viable for PvP. Unfortunately, SE are faggots who hate making money from JRPGs that aren't connected to Final Fantasy, and they haven't localized any of the games since DQMJ2. But that's a different rant.
