This, Amie was fucking brilliant, they'd be fools to throw it out, it's made the pokémon feel more alive than ever.

Being able to stroke my Misdreavus cheek, feed my Honedge puffs, play games with my Pikachu, I actually feel like I'm connecting with my pokémon for real this time.

I've noticed a pattern when it comes to features being cut.

The features most likely to stay are those that have some impact on battling.

Following Pokémon, Secret Bases, Musicals, etc: none have any influence on battling, and they were cut.

Pokémon Amie can influence battles (like Pokémon being able to shake of status effects), so it has a good chance of staying.

It also makes sense to combine the conditioning of pokemon for contests with Amie.

Rather than stuffing your pokemon full of sugary pokepuffs now you feed them pokeblocks to up their contest stats, making them more friendly also has an impact on contests from now on.

Milotic originally evolved from Feebas when leveled with high beauty. GF isn't shy about changing pokemon evolutions when features get removed.

Have they said anything about the possibility of Amie staying in future games? Seems like, even though its affect on the game isn't that great, they'd still keep it in just cause it's a big part of the games' marketing.

This. There's no pokémon that's in Rube/Sapphire that you can't somehow get in X/Y, all the data is already there.

The thing is, I'm not a hardcore player and I don't want to waste time figuring out what hordes are the best for what and where to find them. It's easier for me to do it manually with the balloon thing, for some reason I can't remember what it's called at the moment
