I missed gen 3 as a kid and got back into pokemon when I was in highschool for gen 4.

What did I miss /vp/?

I've seen all the pokemon from gen 3 and like a lot of them. What else is there to look forward to?

Gen 3 had the most "adventure" feel to it, probably because of the diversity of the region.

If you can take going pre-phys/spec split you should download a ROM before the remakes come out

I agree OP, you should download a ROM, but you can probably find an Emerald RomHack that had the phys/spec split in it (because pokemon is now virtually unplayable without the split)

I considered it for a long time. I always felt bad about being such a huge fan, but never playing an entire gen of games.

BUT NOW, I kinds wana wait to learn more about these new games. If they are remakes it would be cool to experience it for the first time.
