So if gamefreak's gonna be adding new megas in the RS remakes, is it possible for them to patch XY to make them compatible?
I don't think gamefreak has ever done something like that. So far the only patches XY got were ones that got rid of glitches and bugs

I'd say that for the first time we're in uncharted territory here. There's always been those stupid fake leaks that new Pokemon are going to be added mid-gen, but for the first time it's a real possibility since this is the first generation where patching is viable.

One question you could raise is IF they were going to do that, why didn't they do it with Volcanion, Hoopa etc. But I'd still say it was possible.

They're not going to patch it when 3ds sales are already doing poorly. They're probably going to jew us and force us all to buy ORAS purely to make what profit they can. They created PokeBank for the sole purpose of conveniently storing and transferring pokemon. If you don't have living dex now and you plan to continue playing the games with 100% dex completion, you might want to start on it now.

yes but this is gamefreak. They're never going to do things without being a generation late. Since this is the first generation that patching is possible, they won't likely do it until gen 7 UNLESS they have someone else handle this new western concept of game patching. japs.
