Hello /vp/
I have been playing pokemon for as long as I can remember. I started with pokemon blue. I have constantly kept up to date with pokemon games, getting the new hand held system, and the game the month it came out. I have experienced a lot through pokemon, but I have a question. Why is everyone so stoked for the third gen remake? I played the third gen and it was fun, but I really do not see why everyone's wangs are getting so hard for the remakes. Is it the nostalgia feel for /vp/? Please tell me why you "can't wait" for the remake.

I didn't get a gaming system until the gba. I didn't even know there were pokemon games until my sister started playing her boyfrined's copy of the games. Gba games are highly nostalgic to me for this reason. Ruby is probly the one game i've played more than any other game. pokemon or otherwise. Just the sound of the trumpets puts a smile on my face.

My very first experience with pokémon games was the gold version but i had to play on a friends game boy, years later I got a gba and pokémon sapphire, me and my brother played that game so much, really good times.

I don't even know if it's just nostalgia. I wasn't a huge fan of R/S/E and even I'm excited for these games. I think it's just the idea of new content that makes me want it.

My folks didn't think I either wanted or 'needed' a gameboy at my age when Pokemon first started getting popular - I was like 5 - and I had to sit back and watch as my brother's played through Red and Yellow. They then got Gold and Silver and again, I loomed over their shoulders while they played those games. I did manage to get crystal on my own later, but I lacked the motivation to play it for some reason and pretty much forgot about it.

Then came the gameboy advance, I was a little out of the loop with pokemon and thought I'd steer clear, but it roped me in, and with some means of allowance with jobs around the house and stuff I managed to get Sapphire version. I loved it, the music, the pokemon, Hoenn is still my favorite region next to Sinnoh in terms of exploration and stuff. I got Emerald as well and FireRed and from then on, Gen 3 has always felt like my - as dumb as it sounds - 'home region', even if I like Gen 1 pokemon designs better.

Also, I love May.
