Everything that everyone else has pointed out aside, that Aqua grunt has the exact same model/stance as the construction workers/security guards in X/Y. He's literally had a bandana photoshopped onto his head, and everything else is exactly the same. Even GF isn't that lazy.
I'm fully expecting more modern (and less dumb) redesigns for Aqua and Magma, which is actually preferable to me. The stupid team outfits is part of the reason I just couldn't get into RSE. I can hope that they'll include walking pokemon just as a nice perk, but we'll see. Hopefully since gamefreak has apparently listened to the fanbase enough to give us the remakes in the first place, they'll be smart enough to give us that as well.
