hoenn has the best nature to explore gamewise. If you think about kalos:

it would be a shame if gamefreak is not bringing back the glorious riding because hoenn as a lot of places like mentioned above. they already have the bases of some pokemon you can ride on and it wouldn´t be a big problem just to do a few more bases for pokemon that have the possibilty to use hm "ride" like rapidash, dodrio,tauros, arcanine, stantler, camerupt, zebstrika, scolipede, sawsbuck, Bouffalant ..which seems next to the already usable ones like the most comfy to ride on. you also could think about some legendarys like the 3 cat/dogs (whatever), mlpmon and the musketeer trio from gen V as possible users of hm "ride".
its just some idea, but it would be nice if they would bring it back, only that you can use it on your own pokemon this time.
