imagine a pokemon whose special ability allows it to hold two items. it is a one stage pokemon and it is single type. what type would it be and what stats would it need to have in order to be balanced?

double leftovers, double assault vest, double eviolite, life orb and leftovers....

actually choice scarf and choice band together might be brutal...because they share downside.

If a Pokemon had this, none of its stats would be above 80 and it would be single typed.

Because lets say if it has 80 attack and uses double choice band, it basically comes in the field with the equilivant of Deoxys-A attack power.

Not the best way to look at it, considering many things - with great stats and amazing typing no less - can exceed Deo-A's power with one band/specs.
Latios and Terrakion for example.

And those are legendaries.

Two held items can make an astronomical difference, a Pokemon that can hold two items with legendary stats would be set straight to Ubers, even if it had rock/ice typing.
