"Me? I'm definitely going to try challenging all the gyms in Johto, and the Pokemon League too."

Soon after, Professor Elm returns to the both of you with your Pokemon, as well as your Pokedexes.
"Alright kids, your Pokemon are good to go. Also, before you go, everyone going on an adventure must have a Pokedex. In simple terms, a Pokedex scans any Pokemon you encounter and tells you all you need to know about them."
