The move from sprites to 3D was sensible. The models are easier, faster, and even better for GF, cheaper. They can be as laxzy as they want and still produce something decent.

They were always subpar spriters, anyway. It was for the best.

Except it is. R/S/E's sprites and colors are some of the worst I have ever seen in a pokemon game. It can only go up from here

Well, they are right. Even GSC had better sprites, despite the technology.
BW and RSE really had the worst sprites.

Excluding RBY, obviously.

We were only lucky half of the backsprites were taken from GSC and recolored.

I just hope they fix X/Y's fucking color palette.

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks X/Y have a desaturated, muted look to them? That wouldn't look good in a game set on a tropical island.
