>>19141498StarCraft has less than available 20 units per faction, and the things they can do are set in stone too. There are much more Pokémon with much more options how to use them (if you can even compare the two). Blizzard only adjusts how much damage their attacks do
(GF does that too, but only between generations), how long they take to build or how much resources they cost.
And from my experience with Blizzard, they are sometimes also complete retards when re-balancing stuff between patches. Though granted, my experiences with them date back quite a bit, with the last game I've really played being WC3>But what happens when there isn't a specific Pokemon that can counter the dominant threat? There usually is one, but people will cry muh shitmon automatically. For Magnezone, Electric + Steel has plenty of resists.
I don't know which of those might be in OU (so correct me if they are), but the following come to mind: Camerupt, Swampert, Quagsire, Seismitoad, Gastrodon, Rotom-H. All of them also resist HP Fire, which I guess some Magnezones run for trapping Steel-types (is that set still common?). Rotom-H also resists HP Ice, while the others are neutral.
