I'm a member of the Smogon Doubles tiering council and have achieved my reqs to be able to vote in the Mega Kangaskhan suspect test.

Fell free to ask for any pointers or advice, I don't really like rating full teams but I might have a quick glance over.

Scarf is probably best, just roll with Volt Switch, Blizzard, Trick and either another Electric STAB or WoW for any potential switchins.

Rotom-f is a pretty hard pokemon to use in OU since it's typing is horrible and Blizzard is way too unreliable. Electric - Ice is fantastic STAB so a scarf set as a revenge killer could work, but you'd need a lot of support, specially something for entry hazards. I guess you could run a life orb set or a bulky set similar to Rotom-w too but good luck taking hits with that atrocious defensive typing. It's mostly outclassed as a whole outside of the lower tiers.

I find it intriguing that your bro is a Fridge, but I wont ask about that.

As others have suggested, Scarf it to play to its strengths.

Keep hazards off the field, put hazards on opponent's side to ease KOs for your fridge.

It's honestly not a mon to build a team around, but it's an okay accessory as a revenge killer and early scarf scout.

Depends on the item, in most situations you'd have Quiver Dance to boost, and unless your team is very poison weak I'd recommend replacing psychic with Giga Drain, which would help with recoil damage from Lo if you choose to put that on. Otherwise you could put lefties and morning sun on

Uneeded coverage.
Replace it for Quiver Dance and run Giga Drain or hidden power something for coverage depending on team needs. Leftovers, Lum Berry and Life Orb are all good items. I wouldn't use Life Orb, though, since you become a lot of needless support: the pokemon, but the other two are good bets.

Fix the HP stat, though. You don't want to have even HP. I think bulky Volcarona sets are better but offensive sets are less reliant on support, so they have that.

Volcarona is a set up sweeper. The idea is to set up and kill shit after you get a boost or two. Status moves are useful in a lot of pokemon, not only in walls.

Thank you, I was planning on using Ludicolo, but opted against it and switch it with Dragonite. Though I was thinking more bulk and with Rain Dish, but your set seems a lot better!

Also Politoed can't use Icy Wind in this VGC.

Hyper cutter is situationally useful in XY OU for fighting teams that rely on phys def lando-T to deal with Mawile. In doubles, it's not worth losing that drop on both opponnets.

base heracross is pretty meh.

It's outclassed by Terrakion unless the opponent is running Cresselia more or less.

While base Heracross is fairly mediocre in OU, Mega Heracross is quite good. Kinda useless against offensive teams but it gives defensive oriented and slower teams a bit of trouble.

How do you guys think the singles OU metagame is going to shift?

Asking because Smogon's WCoP tournament is not that far off, and it is usually very defining for the metagame.

Curious to see if you guys think anything is going to catch on (Like Sand Rush Exca) or drop off in usage (Like M-Venu)

I said MOST, not all.

14 legendaries have pressure:
-The Birds
-The Dogs
-Mewtwo
-Ho-Oh&Lugia
-Deoxys
-Dialga
-Palkia
-Giratina
-Kyurem

Of those, only the ones with more defensive builds can make use of pressure through stalling.

That said

Lugia can effectively substall a lot of threats low pp moves such as hooh zekrom groudon etc thanks to its huge bulk and great speed. It often loses to those pokes without pressure

There are a bunch of good Clefable sets now but that one seems kinda subpar.
The Calm Mind set is fairly legit. It's something like this, though.

Clefable (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard / Unaware
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower / Heal Bell
- Soft-Boiled / Moonlight (if you're using Unaware)

That's probably your best if you want to kill shit with it. There's also a bunch of support sets but I guess that's not what you're looking for.

The issue with Stored Power is that it does shit to everything if you don't manage to set up, so if you wanna check a dragon or a pony you're kinda fucked. You're also permawalled by Dark types.

Scizor has a great synergy with Clefable, specially if mega.
Toxicroak in unfortunately really hard to make work in OU, but it's actually UU now (or RU I'm not even sure).
Pokes that'd work with Clefable could be a lot of things. Tyranitar, Keldeo, Chansey, Mandibuzz, Heatran, Terrakion, Zapdos, all decent partners. Clefable works in a lot of different play styles.

Those stats are 2 months old, the current ones are here: http://sim.smogon.com:8080/Stats/2014-04/
The usage lists are now hosted there instead of the huge threads. The number (like ou-1760.txt is the glicko cutoff used for those stats or something, with 0.0 being the 1500 stats. No idea what ou.txt without a number is though. Antar probably explained it somewhere idk
