>A ---------> Up to A+ Rank: Clefable has just gotten better and better as the generation has gone on. It's just so fucking versatile that its never that easy to deal with. Physically defensive variants are huge douche bags to a wide variety of physical attackers in the tier, mainly the Dragon and Fighting-types, while the more specially inclined can handle Keldeo, Greninja, Thundurus, and Aegislash better. Unaware allows it to stop a ton of sweepers cold, while Magic Guard is better fit for some of its offensive sweeping sets. It can be a wish passer, cleric, sponge, offensive sweeper, defensive sweeper, and much more. The CM sets have begun to adapt to the meta recently by running Stored Power, which lets it break through defensive behemoths it couldn't before, such as Chansey, Mega Venusaur, Amoonguss, and Heatran. Flamethrower is also not that uncommon of a sight anymore, because it lets Clefable roast Steel-types such as Ferrothorn, Mega Mawile, and Mega Scizor, which are usually considered solid checks to Clef. Clef isn't deserving of A+ rank simply because of its versatility, but also because of its ability to adapt so easily to the meta, no matter what it throws at it. It's just such an amazing Pokemon.

Both are equally good, actually. Just on different levels
X has unresisted, Tough Claws boosted STAB bar Heatran and Carbink (which can easily be countered with Earthquake) across the board, and once it gets a Dragon Dance in it's nearly unstoppable
Y requires no set up and has STAB Drought-boosted Fire Blast and Solar Beam to nuke almost everything in sight. Not even the bulkiest Rock-Types can take it down without trouble
tl;dr both Charizards are good and that makes it even more lethal

Yeah, Fairies sure had a huge effect on the types they countered. Who wants to bet on some miracle of ORAS move tutors pushing one or more Fairies into S-rank by this time next year?

Been using it on almost every team since I found out it was fairy type and got moonblast. Glad it is finally getting the recognition. Fairy is easily the best type both offensively and defensively. It'll be interesting to see some top tier statwise fairies in future gens and how gamefreak responds to when they become as OP as dragons and fightan mons were last couple gens.
