Guys what if the Dramatic New World for OR/AS was talking about the post game region, and said post game was the Ryukyu islands, think about it.

1. Islands fit perfectly in the land of Hoenn what with all the water
2. The Ryukyu islands are Volcanic islands that erupted out of the ocean, representing Groudon's and Kyogre's conflict with each other
3. They already have a mode of transport (the SS Tidal) that could allow for that area to be accessed
4. the Kyushu-Okinawa region groups the areas together and Hoenn is based off of Kyushu
5. Ever Grande City (and the Battle Frontier for emerald) are already on (the) Osumi island(s), which is part of the Ryukyu islands. (Okay they're also a part of the Kagoshima Prefecture but they are not part of Kyushu).
6. G/R/B/Y were lacking in post-game content so for FR/LG they added the Sevii islands (Before anyone says anything, the Sevii islands are based off of the Izu islands, not the Ryukyu islands). Likewise R/S/E were lacking in post-game (yes Emerald had more than R/S like the Battle Frontier, but other than that it was, "Oh go find Groudon and Kyogre and we have Steven trying to be Red 2.0 in a new cave section we added to Meteor Falls, and that's it.) so OR/AS will add a post-game island section.
7. Doing this would mean that the 'epic new adventure' and 'dramatic new world' blurb that they were advertising would still technically be true without redoing Hoenn's core story and/or changing Hoenn itself dramatically; or making an entirely new region. Or they're trying to reel in new people into the game.
8. the waters around the Ryukyu islands are popular diving zones.
