>>19146008>they don't effect the release of new games at allBy stating, showing and soon showcasing data of these remakes, and due to the novelty effect, substracting "power" and "presence" over the barely 6 months old X and Y games, they have already begun to effect the release of games; worse of all, a new, transitional game, which hasn't even been fulfilled.
I wouldn't be too concerned about it if they made the announcement, by September or October, but due to financial losses and whatnot, they resorted to this to create hype and tell their investors "everything's fine. Please understand".
Now, I'm not angry that there are remakes in the works, there have always been, for the sake of money, the availability of such games for future generations, whatever. I'm angry at the pacing of these reveals.
Whether you like it or not, the remakes will bury that potential content of X/Y, by shifting ALL attention to OR/AS. I paid for X/Y, and i want to know with certainty if they are still planning to support the game by doing updates to make it compatible with OR/AS, Allowing to get the new mega stones in kalos as well, as well as any other tweaks they could potentially do, regardless of the team working on this...yet people will just shift their focus to the new remakes and disregard these games until Z or whatever is announced.
If that scenario happens (most probably), as a consumer and as a player, i would be extremely disappointed, and many should be.
TL;DR? Gamefreak and its teams are playing on thin ince by doing this. Depending on how they do it, there will be hype, or a huge backlash.
