You know thinking about it Blaziken sticks out like a sore thumb in the bunch

Sceptile and Swampert are pretty much animal + element + a few extra details while Blaziken is pretty much a human with monster chicken features

man I remember the first time I played ruby, i didnt know what the final evos look like.I remember being really dissapointed at swampert, that terrible spritework. Its backsprite didnt help, either. I cant believe someone at GFapproved that.

I hate to defend the design of blaziken but look up shamo chickens - theyre actual fighting chickens that stand sort of upright.

Despite blaziken though I think the hoenn starters have the best starter lineup of all the generations so far. I think its mostly the coloring of them that makes them work, the red green and blue really stands out on them, they all look pretty good next to each other
