but it's necessary to get sylveon. Even if they don't have it in Oras (like they lacked the ice and moss rocks in hgss that were needed for glaceon and leafon) it will be back in the next new game.

As much as I like the interaction with your pokemon features, they never seem to keep consistency, I get the feeling there will be some new feature for us to play around with, and about 5% of VP to bitch about

part of the whole point of switching to models is so you can save up all the animations you have and reuse them. Unlike sprites which constantly need updating and drawing.

Are you referring to the facial recognition? Yeah, it's very spotty and finicky, but every other aspect of Amie I think is fantastic.

I love making them happy, and I always feel a tinge inside when the facial recognition fails, hearing the disappointed "aww" like noise they make.
