The excuse that Nintendo did it to "appease" the people is fucking retarded because there was no one to appease in the first place. Hypothetically, what exactly DID they get from announcing it earlier than they should have? They easily could have gone for many more months up to a whole year without announcing anything, and there wouldn't have been an outcry.
Yet, somehow, the fact that they are revealing little bits of details here and there somehow indicates that they are rushing it.
