Isn't the special set though. The person I bought the stuff from on Amazon ended up giving me some free stuff, and gave me the extra mega stones that come in these tiny black plastic baggies, so you get them at random. Was lucky enough to get 'em all.

Guess they're trying to get it popular. It's not just a collectable toy, it also works on that arcade game. Why it comes with that chip. Pretty much point it down at this spot on the machine and lets the pokemon mega evolve in-game It's been out for a few weeks. Mewtwo, and Lucario figure sets came out recently too.

They didn't, that's a recurring segment on the show. They've shown off the Mega Ring multiple times already.

It's like asking why they were playing Trozei when that came out long ago.
