Idea: Pokemon MOBA.
Hear me out:

>instead of hero's or champion's, you have pokemon
>instead of creeps, you have more (low tier) wild pokemon
>5 on each team as usual
>you gain exp and money as usual too
>instead of abilities, you have moves
>you start out as a low level pokemon, for example, Pichu
>you would have 3 or 4 simple moves, like tackle, thundershock, ect
>as you gain enough exp, you can choose to either spend levels on boosting stats and coming closer to evolving, or to get new moves
>let's say your still playing as Pichu, and you gain a level
>you can either put your experience to get a move like thunder quicker, or evolve to Pickachu, get better stats, and learn it later
>risk=reward
>you still have the store, but it's a lot more limited
>you're only allowed to carry 1 item, true to the games, but they're a lot more significant
>things like big stat boosts, berries to halt status effects, hell, even mega stones for applicable pokemon
>pokemon may also have a single passive ability like in the games
>you'd also have the jungle, but it would instead be "tall grass"
>you can go there to grind for specific stat boosts
>maybe EV's and IV's could play a role
>instead or Roshan or whatever, you'd have a small bunch of legendary pokemon, that when defeated, give crazy stat boosts and drops
>not sure what you'd do for turrets, maybe minor legendaries like the trios
>same with ancients, you'd possible have another legendary

There's obviously a lot of wholes missing, but I like the idea. If we can make pokemon rouge-likes and MMO's why not MOBA's?
