Flygon. Its stats were meh when it was introduced, now they're just plain shit. Garchomp exists and outclasses it entirely. Every time a new Dragon is introduced Flygon weeps. At this point only Altaria and Druddigon are worse. Even Dragalge will probably get Adaptability eventually. It will be RU this gen once UU sorts itself out and the dragons are unbanned.

Salamence was an absolute monster in gen 4, but wasnt broken like Garchomp, its so sad that he is outclassed by Dragonite, who, as little as it matters, has such an ugly design in my opinion , I would still use Salamence this gen despite everything if they didnt make him such a fucking eyesore for the sake of sky battles, I managed to find a shiny bagon in Y, yet refuse to let it evolve now.

Really, they have been shitting on every pseudo that isnt Dragonite, Tyranitar, or Garchomp. the gen 5 and 6 pseudo's are really mediocre, and ones such as metagross, get nerfed.

Meanwhile, Azumarill gets buffs every generation.

Too slow to use well, too fast to use in Trick Room
Defense is nice but Reuniclus is bulkier and useful in TR, so it's outclassed there
Movelist makes no fucking sense, Powerup Punch and Rock Slide aren't that good with an attack stat around 150
Speaking of attack, has higher attack stat at the cost of special attack, but still so bad you might as well use it for special
Frisk is very situational
Too slow to use Competitive without getting creamed
Shadow Tag is it's only saving grace, and even then it's not very useful outside very specific tactics
Since the 3D model came out all the diaper fetishists flock to it

Even if it were good it's just a more generalized Gardevoir with worse typing and no mega.

If they rearranged it's stats to make it a bulky physical attacker and gave it elemental punches and zen headbutt by level up it would be good while being different from the other monotype psychics

No. Sheer Force Feraligatr has the equivalent of base 150 atk and doesn't take LO recoil.

This is like saying "normal Nidoking is fine. It has loads of super effective moves and secondary effects are nice". Neither is usable without Sheer Force.

Salamence (special Scarf variants in particular) is the third most used Pokemon in the whole metagame after Kangaskhan and Garchomp. They're actually often paired together.

Honestly, GF has a few favorites but most everything else they just ignore. They can't really balance for shit, even XY which actually had some good decisions still had fuckups like giving Nidoking +10 to Atk, Gourgeist's SpA, Moxie Pyroar, and Dedenne with no fucking Special moves

I really hate how the only things Flygon has gained since Gen 4 is Roost and Defog. Outside of that it's nearly the exact same pokemon you got in RSE.

The really frustrating bit; I'm really afraid that it's too late for Flygon. A Dragon Dance won't help because Zygarde/Dragonite do it better in nearly every way. Quiver Dance won't do too much because it has fucking 80 Sp.Atk. Maybe a Bulky QD set would work but its not exactly bulky.

Like, Jesus Christ. I don't even want to use it ingame anymore. Druddigon is strong as shit in lower tiers. I don't think anyone expected Altaria to accomplish anything but it can at least heal itself.

It's gonna need a Megazard level boost to become fun. And that's really fucking sad.

Literally all of Garchomp's stats are higher, except for SpA, which doesn't matter much.
The only things Flygon has going for it are U-Turn, Superpower, two elemental punches, and levitate. So yes, Garchomp does outclass it entirely.

I am using OU pokemon because Garchomp is still a thing in this argument, but wherever Flygon belongs now it is probably good for that.

I brought Scizor in because it does both the things you claim Flygon does while not being useless outside of it.

Heatran is an inconvenience but not a 100% stop since it isn't trapped. On the other hand, Flygon cannot deal with bulky pokemon at all since it's capped at w/e attack stat you brought it in at and several pokemon come in for free.

You know who doesn't have either of those problems?

If we were talking UU I would agree with you.

Garchomp doesn't have to do Defog or U-Turn even if it could. It has so many more opportunities to do different things that Flygon can't accomplish now. Garchomp can do a Rough Skin set, Sand Veil abuse, scarf, band, mixed, a whole slew of things because it does them consistently better than a lot of other pokemon, Flygon definetely included.

The Defog/U-Turn argument is tired because whenever both Garchomp and Flygon compete at the same time its not going to trump the 10 other things Garchomp can accomplish, nor will Flygon compare favorably to other pokemon that can do the same thing. Like Scizor.

Greninja is pretty much the best special ice type in OU, and mamoswine has ground typing plus great ability, stats, and movepool. If this can't help Gamefreak see what type they need to buff(along grass) then there will never be balanced metagame.
