So, is there any way to git gud in this game? I'm currently replaying HG and I was hoping that I could get both Thunderbolt and Ice Beam but now I've lost hope to get either of them.

Yes, I know that the columns with 0 Voltorb are safe and that you can ignore the columns where points + Voltorb = 5, but after that, it's just luck. I choose the tile that belongs to the two highest scored columns and 4 times out of 5 it's a fucking Voltorb even though it has the highest chance to contain score. Luck has always been against me, but this is ridiculous. I haven't made it past Level 5 even with the online calculators, and I honestly don't know how I can do better if even computers can't help me. It took me over and hour to get 1000 coins and I'm aiming for fucking 20000.
