because i am trying to catch him in HG right now, and his level 70 version knows Safeguard.
Safeguard prevents me from putting him to sleep. And with 1 hp, the odds of catching him, even in ultra or dusk balls seems like infinitesimally small. I really, really wish there was a way for me to get a master ball now... but i wasted mine like a fool after giving up on my 20th attempt to catch Ho-Oh before he went into struggle mode.
Fuck Heartgold's capture rates.
