Don't think they'll give 'em absurdly high catch rates like the previous three gens though they technically did have higher catch rates than most legendaries, 5 vs 3.
Also, weren't they compulsory captures in RS anyways?

I din't mind it with yveltal because the thing kept recovering with oblivion wing. Still could have had a lower catch rate tho.

Xerneas was pretty bad too. If you let the thing get a geomancy in it could really fucking hurt, and if for whatever reason you couldn't catch it by the second geomancy it could wreck a normal leveled team easily.

Of course, that doesn't justify them being able to be caught by a quick ball.

I don't like the high catch rates but I do like the making you catch it aspect and I like how some times you can add them to your team (focus on CAN). It took me 3 times to catch yvetal because I kept killing it with critical hits. and it plays along with the storyline, you fighting side by side with the legendary pokemon because you're always ~the chosen one~

Here is how all legend encounters should go:
1. When you first face them they are in an alternate form that gives them ridiculous boss battle stats. They are uncatchable in this form, you must simply beat them.

2. After that they become roaming mons with their regular stats

3. Their movepool while roaming consists of Rest, Sleeptalk, Whirlwind, Explosion

its not even a challenge, it would require a degree of skill to be considered that, it is just setting there repeating the same process until RNG works out for you, if you can get to a legendary pokemon you can catch it its no diffrent than what you have done likely 5 times already

perhaps after you've chased them enough, they sit down, like birds in XY. or maybe they jump to static points, but run each time, but after 4th or 5th time they stay and fight.

Wait, are you guys saying that there shouldn't be an element of risk when trying to catch legendaries, or other pokemon?

If I could, I would lower the catch rate rate for all but the weakest pokemon by a large percentage.

It shouldn't be easy.
