Isn't it more logical that the story changes so as you rival defeats the other team while you take on the other one?

As in, you play OR. As you defeat the Magma team May/Brendan defeats the Aqua team.
You play AS. As you defeat the Aqua team May/Brendan defeats the Magma team.
