You can just give its evo a decent Atk stat and they could both have different uses.

if he's such a bro to you, then you WOULDNT want him to evolve regardless. I've used him since Gen3 and i've no issues with him whatsoever. yeah, he cant be used on any OU or Uber team but i dont play that way so i dont care. his design is awesome and he's one of the cuter looking Pokemons in my opinion

tldr; Dunsparce is just fine the way he is and adding/making him a Fairy type to him would have done more harm than good

Technically you could say Dunsparce was buffed this generation. It used to not be able to run its usual paraflinch set with Steel types, having to run Earthquake to kill it with brute force but now Bite is neutral on Steels.
