"Cyndaquil!"

The Flame Burst strikes Bidoof with great force. Although Bidoof is visibly hurt, he refuses to show any signs of pain.

"I sincerely hope that wasn't your best." he mocks.

Thankfully, Nidoran's Disable doesn't let Bidoof strike with a more powerful Rollout. However, the Tackle which is 2 stage boosted that follows isn't much better. The Tackle does severe damage to Cyndaquil and Nidoran, and it's clear they are already so close to being knocked out.

With his boosted speed, Bidoof slams into Nidoran and Cyndaquil with another Tackle. Unfortunately for Nidoran, she can take no more.

"Nidoran, no! Damn it!" Betty cries out.

Cyndaquil barely hangs on, but not by much.

>Cyndaquil's Blaze is activated!

"Cyndaquil, Rollout!"

Cyndaquil attempts to smash Bidoof in with a Rollout, but Bidoof comfortably avoids it. At this point, the Apricorn begins to glow extremely brightly at the top of the machine.

"Yes!", Bidoof exclaims, "the power is almost fully unlocked!"

Cyndaquil manages to go first this time. The Flame Burst is a direct hit, knocking Bidoof flat on the ground.

"Cyndaquil, you did it!", you cheer, "You did i-"

"NO. I'M NOT LETTING THIS SLIP AWAY!" Bidoof shouts.

With an extremely powerful Headbutt, Cyndaquil is thrown all the way across the battlefield. He can't go on. Panting and grinning, Bidoof slowly makes his way to the machine. He is just about to key something in.

"YYAAAHH! TAKE THIS YOU BUCK-TOOTHED SHITE!"

A Poison Sting from out of nowhere strikes Bidoof perfectly, making him stumble into the volcano.

"You did it Wurmple, you killed him!"

"BLOODY DAMN RIGHT I DID. I KI-"

"Heeeelp! Heeelp!"

The cries for assistance comes from the inside of the volcano. You peer inside and find Bidoof hanging by the edge of the crater. You are just about to kick him in when a voice stops you.

"Alex, wait, we can't kill him."

"What? Why not?"

"Just look at him."

You look down at Bidoof and find him crying his eyes out, begging you to save him.

"LIKE BLOODY HELL YOU'RE NOT KILLING HIM. HE NEARLY DESTROYED US ALL!" Wurmple shouts.

"No. This was someone driven crazy and power hungry by the Apricorn. I highly doubt he was a murderous being before all this. We're not killing him." Betty insists.

You help Bidoof up and let him bawl his eyes out on the ground. You feel bad for him, like as if he's not to blame. Suddenly, you find your arm raised with the Great Ball in hand. You look to your right and find Betty standing there with a Pokeball in hand as well.

For some reason, whether you're just a nice fella or being a gentleman, you lower your arm. Betty throws the Pokeball at Bidoof. It's an easy catch.

"My first catch." Betty mutters, looking at the newly occupied Pokeball. Before there's any time for joy, you and Wurmple remember the machine.

"Wurmple!" you call out.

Wurmple hops towards the machine. He looks like as if he's about to key in something, but instead he just rolls himself over the screen. Still, the machine is deactivated, and the Apricorn stops glowing. As the lava slowly disappears, Wurmple picks up the Apricorn. An evil grin now appears on his face.

"HAH! The Apricorn is mine! Bloody hell, all of you are going to be my bitches. Time to become a Mega-Mega Dustox an- ACK!"

Before he can finish his sentence, Betty lunges at him and strangles him, snatching away the Apricorn and tossing it to you.

"Oh no you don't! I've dealt with enough shit today!" Betty scowls.

"Ack! Put me down, whore! Ow!"

Truth is, you still don't know what the Apricorn can do. You don't know whether it can bring great happiness and you don't know if it's worth the risk.

A) Toss it in the volcano.
B) Keep it.

The Great Ball violently shakes and shakes. But in the end, it works.

Seconds later, Wurmple exits the Great Ball.

"No. No no NO NO NO. FIRST I'M DENIED THE APRICORN, NOW I'M UNDER THE OWNERSHIP OF SOME QUEER KID. COULD MY LIFE GET ANY WORSE?"

You and Betty make your way down the volcano, with Wurmple on your shoulder whining about how much of a faggot you are. You trudge through the warzone, now filled with dead Pokemon. As you exit Route 46, you bump into the Doctor once again.

"So I see you've taken the Apricorn."

"That I did. I won't die a horrible death because of it right?"

"I can't guarantee that. I see you've decided to bring Wurmple along for your journey as well?"

Wurmple looks up at the Doctor.

"You've gotta help me Doc. I can't spend the rest of my life with this shitbag."

"I'm afraid I can't do anything about that Wurmple."

You and Betty say your goodbyes to the Doctor, and make your way towards Cherrygrove City.

"Alex." Betty calls you.

"Yeah?"

"That was an interesting first day, wasn't it?"

You look up and see that it's already night time. Time flies really fast when you're in a war for control of a really powerful object.

"Yeah, it was. Sorry if it was a little too terrible."

"No, it's alright. I think we both learned a lot from today. I think we've proved to be an ok team."

She's right. The two of you just ended a war between three power hungry factions of Pokemon, and probably just saved the world or something from utter destruction. As you check into a hotel in Cherrygrove, you still don't know that every single day of your adventure, stupid and crazy shit like this will happen on a regular basis.
