They are very hit or miss with their "research" into pokemon design origins. Sometimes, they are dead on. Other times, it's basically a wild mass guess. Their culture shock sections are *always* wrong.

Also, too smogon copy in the battle strategy. Come on, at least cover VGC meta, the real competitive meta, instead of the fan based bullshit.

I wish they weren't so smogon focused, I don't watch their "Dex Versus" videos anymore after Alex complained about HP restoring moves and items, and how they should have a 15 turn limit to prevent stalling.

The actual show "The Dex" is alright. I mean, its all stuff you already know. The Pokemon, the cry, some info, then battle strategy. The "Dex VS" episodes are better because its just them battling with themed teams.
Other than that, I genuinely enjoy their podcast.
