You know what I really hate about Pokemon?
The lack of story.
The Anime is basically the same thing over and over. Ash and his friends travel somewhere, they meet a person, they eventually battle that person, person seems to be requiring help, as they help person team racket shows up, Ash and person kick their ass, grand finale, credits roll.
The games are always the same.
Hour long tutorials you can't skip, receive starter, more tutorials, meet your friends/rivals, beat the gym leaders, gaps are filled with an evil team trying to overtake the world, grand finale against team, beat the elite 4, the end.
Why are they so lazy?
I don't want a pokemon mmo, but come on.
The tales series are kinda samey gameplay wise too, still they manage to put in great stories. Why can't Nintendos second biggest franchise do the same?
