Only a little less than a week until DS wifi gets shut down, /vp/. Pokegenned all you wanted yet? If you haven't and have no other means to transfer genned pokemon to you cart, I highly, HIGHLY suggest all of you make perfect 6IV dittos to help you with your XY games. Different region to your XY game too, so you can Masuda everything.

This is a pretty comprehensive guide to genning whatever you want. I will, however, be providing simpler instructions for generating perfect dittos.

When you open Pokegen, you will start out on the main tab. The stuff on the left displays info about the pokemon we'll be editing (or in this case, creating). I'll be giving instructions for making a Japanese ditto so most of you can use it for Masuda Method shiny breeding.

You can ignore the PID part, Pokegen will automatically generate one for you when we're done. For now, go to the species menu, and set it to Ditto.

As for name, since we're making one from a Japanese cart, we'll just leave it as メタモン, Ditto's japanese name. Since it's not a nickname, leave the nickname box unchecked.

Put in the nature you want next, Adamant is here as an example.

If you want a held item in your Gen 5 game, you can put one in, though make sure the pokemon isn't holding items that can't be held like Key Items and TMs.

Set the ability to Limber, Ditto's only non-hidden ability. If you want Imposter, it'll be way tougher, you can read the guide if you want that. Dittos cannot pass down Hidden Abilities anyway.

Set the country to Japan, and origin to Black 2, for the sake of convenience. We'll be making the ditto look like it came from a Japanese Black 2 cart.

Now move on to the met tab.

Under Game, choose Black 2/White 2.

Location, choose Giant Chasm.

For ball, it's easiest to just use an ordinary Poke Ball, but you can change it. Just don't make it something you can't use like a Dream Ball or Cherish Ball.

Dittos in Black 2 are found wild at level 47, so we'll set level met to that.

Date met, anytime after Black 2 was released. Easiest is to just use today's.

Encounter, put Tall Grass, as shown here. Leave the rest.

Under stats, just set every IV to 31. Leave EVs alone, but if you do want to put any make sure the total is at most 510, or no more than 255 in any one stat.

If you want to breed for Hidden Powers, by the way, it may be worth making another set of Dittos with all 30 as their IVs. Most Hidden Powers need a mix of 31 and 30 IVs.

Under attacks, just put transform in the first slot, since it's the only move ditto can learn. You can PP max it with the button on the right if you want.

Almost done! Now you need to put in OT data. Each ID and SID (secret ID) are made of up to 5 numbers each, put whatever you want. Also, if the firts number of the ID is 0, the Id will only be 4 numbers, so a trainer Id of '00001' would only show up here as '1'. For simplicity's sake, just don't use an ID starting with 0.

Since this ditto is supposed to be from a Japanese cart, you can't type stuff from your keyboard as the trainer name. You can just copy up to 5 Japanese characters, or if you doubleclick the name bar it'll give you a drop down menu of characters you can choose. English letters from a Japanese game will be down below, you can use up to 5 characters, remember.

And that's it, your ditto should be ready now. Go to file on the upper right, click save pokemon from tabs. Save it as a 136 byte .pkm file.

This is the reason why I'm typing this guide now, because soon the average user won't have the means to move their genned Pokemon into their games. Using this utility, you can. Upload the .pkm file you just made here, then set your 3DS/DS DNS to the whatever the website is giving you. Visit the GTS with a full party, and your Ditto will arrive. Try to upload it via Poketransporter to make sure there aren't any problems, and if it works make as many other dittos as you like!

That's all for this guide. I hope it will help /vp/ spend much, MUCH less time tediously breeding for good IV pokemon. Even if you're too proud to ask for a genned Pokemon, here using this, nobody has to know.

Poketransporter uses 3DS Nintendo Network, so it will still work. PokeGTS however will not.

You do know that the poketransporter works on the 3DS network and not the DS/DSi one, right? The GTS spoofers mimic the Nintendo GTS. That's how it worked. The official GTS being shut down changes nothing for people who PokeGen.
