If you use your favourites and they happen to be OU or generally popular on Smogon, as long as you're happy with them, go ahead and use them to the fullest. My top 3 Pokemon are Gengar, Venusaur and Garchomp, and I constantly get shit for using them because muh OU Smogon:the team. Never stopped me from continuing to use them. Another good idea is to take 2-3 of your ultimate Poke-bros and build a team around them, As in cover their weaknesses, good synergy, take care of their counters/main threats etc. This way, I can almost guarantee you'll make new bros in the process
