>>19216711Tbf only GSCHGSS, RSE, and XY's stories were shit. The rest are just....there. They're not bad but they're not good either. It's nothing you play the game for. Should have been more specific.
GSCHGSS's problem was that Team Rocket's motives were just really lame. For most of the game they do random petty crimes, and then suddenly "oh shit we need giovanni back, let's hijack a radio tower and let the whole world know that we're useless without him." It's just a very weak motive for what should be the climax of the Team Rocket storyline. HGSS made things worse by shoehorning in a fight with Ho-oh/Lugia.
RSE's plot suffered due to Team Aqua having ridiculous motives. "Let's add more water to this region that is already filled with water." Magma at least gets a pass since Hoenn could use more land.
XY's plot was really poorly paced. AZ shows up once and then next time you see him it's a huge info dump on what happened in the past, with very little hints about it earlier on. The whole Team Flare segment in general is just rushed as hell. Shit, XY in general has some huge pacing problems. Several hours inbetween the first three gyms, then everything rapid fires afterwards.
