>>19232059That's just a natural, unavoidable vocal minority. There's a term software developers use to describe that exact phenomenon (anti-change), and it is largely understood that it should be taken with a grain of salt and is not the same as constructive criticism or feedback. In that situation, the developers should look at sales, critical reviews, and criticisms that are not anti-change backlash to decide in which direction to continue.
The biggest problem with Pokémon as a video game series is that as soon as it introduces a new mechanic, it immediately removes it with the next gen. Gen 3 removed much of the real-time elements of Gen 2, Gen 6 removed seasons and many other elements of Gen 5, up until Gen 5 something as simple as sprite animations during battle came and went every couple games, numerous features like the Vs. Seeker and other minor enhancements get inexplicably removed, then put back in, then removed again, etc. If GameFreak would simply keep the additional features without removing them every gen, the series would have actually continued to progress and feel much more compelling and worthwhile.
