honestly though, gen 4 had my second favorite evil organization. The concept of destroying and rebuilding the universe with Cyrus as a god astounded me. If I'm counting the story and not the gameplay,

a world with endless land/sea is pretty stupid IMO, and Unova would have been #1 if it weren't for that niggerfaggot Ghetsis turning out to be doing it all so he could be powerful. It would have been much better if it had stuck to the concept of just trying to free all pokemon.

Gen 1 was Gen 1, its honestly not even fair to rank it seeing as it was first and since no other gen would exist without it and it had nothing to build off of it deserves first spot always. Gen 2 was amazing, everything about it was wonderful (Yes even the grinding because it made the game harder and more of a struggle). Gen 3 wasn't even supposed to be made (which is apparent) and while it has a lot of promise (I'm looking at you ORAS, it missed way too much to be high on a list). Gen 4, to be fair, I only played platinum, but it added the physical special split, enough said. Gen 5, looked and felt like shit (Yes I am talking about BW because they are Gen 5 as well, dont forget that). BW2 were good but a day late and a dollar short. Gen 6, honestly I don't know how to feel about it yet, while it isnt necessarily memorable, I don't think it did anything wrong and it's all around a good experience. Yes these are opinions but I'm not really biased to a certain gen, to me this just makes logical sense (besides personal feeling on 5, idk, it just sucked to me)

While I did rate Gen 1 lowest, I still fucking love the game. I can't really say I dislike any, I just prefer some more than others.

And ranking by Generation can be contradictory. I don't like D/P that much, I really like Platinum. So ranking where Gen IV stands is hard, even when looking at the experience of the Generation as a whole.

And yes, Gen VI seems to new to really be able to tell what I think about it. I do think they were rushed and have the same problems DP and BW had, while Plat and B2W2 were much better. That being said, hopefully Z, or whatever it'll be called, turns out to be better as well.

What was so wrong with Gen 4 other than the speed? (Which was mostly fixed with Platinum)
It had the best music and introduced the Physical/Special split. It was probably the most challenging one since the enemies had proper movesets, actually had interesting lore and had the 2nd best postgame behind HG/SS

Nothing was seriously wrong with Gen 4. It had its downsides just like every other gen, namely a shit ton of legendaries, slow speed, and the initial shitty distribution of types in DP (namely Fire Types)but overall it was great./vp/ is just filled with people who played Gen 3 first, so they love it the most and hate any actual changes.
As for the topic at hand, universal truth is this: 6 > 5 > 4 > 3 > 2 > 1

Hoenn is my favorite region (i really can't wait to see how beautiful they make it!). Kalos was also very gorgeous and I very much liked the friendship I had with the other characters (Shauna was adorable and Serena made me think about a lot of things) Sinnoh... if it wasn't for that annoying mountain, I might pick that as 2nd favorite. Barry was my favorite rival! (i think he's the strongest) Unova was okay, I think. N was the best part! Ghetsis was, I think, the best antagonist... he really was a threatening person who did a lot of cruel things.
