I think Goodra was kind of clever. It's based on a mythical snail dragon, and the French are known snail-suckers.

Remember the movie 2000 and how big the birds were? Remember Dunsparce and how tiny it is in the show despite being as long as Salamence?
The show just shows what looks cool to impress 6 year olds, which is a shame since having Noivern as your shouldermon would be awesome.

This is what bugs me. If it had been part Poison rather than (or alongside) Dragalge, then it'd be a new Dragon that can also deal with Fairies. Being part Water would also make sense since it fucking evolves in the rain. Either way, a secondary typing would have been great.

My main issue however is its lack of recovery. But hopefully move tutors will give it Giga Drain or Drain Punch, both of which it should be able to receive.
