ITT: Try and come up with a new metagame/tournament style.

I'd like to see a rental-style tourney like the ones in battle facilities on cart

You get to swap out one of your pokemon for your opponents after a match and you all have to use predetermined sets randomly
Maybe RNG a number corresponding to either a slot in a tier or an overall pokemon number and then (in the case of overall pokemon) you have to use that and pass along the set and all to your opponent if they so choose, and the next round you use one of theirs, whoever has the most points/wins at the end is the champ

Maybe give one point for each opponent pokemon you faint

Nothing new, but I'd like to see Best of 3 matches.

Playing the same opponent multiple times (2 or 3) would give a better representation of skill because there would possibly be a more accurate representation of the RNG and you can adapt your team to fight theirs after the first battle.

I'd personally just like rental pokemon like from Stadium. I like to play with a variety of pokemon so that would be neat.

Edge Battles. They're like Sky Battles but specifically for Dark type pokemon. And at least 3/6 pokemon have to learn Cut.
