My evidence revolves around Lati@site.

Firstly, Lati@site is not even revealed yet. This hints that it will be revealed as an Event during the ORAS run OR be available in those games. With this in mind, Lati@site is included in the XY code as an ORAS mega stone. They have to include the ORAS megas in XY code. Updates are out of the question as Lati@site is in the code now. Why would they do that if they were going to update to add them? And if you say "They forgot", they didn't. Nintendo asked Datel to remove the Lati@site from their Powersaves device, they definitely didn't forget."

What do you guys think?

Don't forget that we can download updates to our games, now. They can patch in as many Megas as they want.

I'm not saying they'll make more Megas (I don't think they will), but it's not outside the realm of possibility.

In lieu of the Eon Ticket, the Lati@s Mega Stones are needed to go to Southern Island. They'll be distributed to XY sometime this summer and you'll be expected to trade them to a friend's ORAS and them do the same to yours. After catching your Lati@s in ORAS and giving it its Mega Stone, talking to a certain NPC in Lilycove will take you there.

The brand-new Mega Stones in ORAS will either not be able to be traded to XY or be patched in. Either way the game will be patched to allow you to battle against them.

what bait? Unless you're saying those aren't actual footage of the game, they're confirmed for having the XY models, which differ significantly from the ORAS box art.

It's not like GF can add version exclusive hold items, they did it all the way back in platinum, and every official source is going out of their way to point out the differences between normal groudon and kyogre and the new box art versions, with one source calling them all new pokemon, the same thing they said for mega mewtwo and the kyurem forms. Mega Groudon and Kyogre are happening.

or they just left lati@site in the code because it was planned for XY but taken out for whatever reason. There's been cut content present in the code in previous pokemon games, I see no reason why XY couldn't have any.

1. Mega-Latis could be released as an XY event, to further hype up OR/AS.
2. They may have wanted to add in all the megas from the start, but deadlines caused a change of plans and thus only the Mega-Latis got in, and decided it wasn't worth the trouble of cutting.
3. GF may have intended for there to be no more megas, but changed their mind/Nintendo pressured them to add more for OR/AS as an extra selling point. They don't always have a gen planned out in advanced; as an example by the time BW1 was out they still didn't know if they wanted to do BW2 or Gray.

Honestly there's several other possibilities I think it's silly to immediately conclude "thus, there won't be new megas." I'm personally on the side that they will, it'd be odd for Swampert/Sceptile to not get any megas plus all the media seems to indicate that Groudon/Kyogre are getting something new, whether it's megas or a new ability.

While I do agree that Kyogre and Groudon will probably get a new form, I'm not betting for Megas. While it makes sense because GF is still trying to make Megas likeable to the market, I don't really see that much of a design change to fit into the category. They rather seem more like power forms like the Overdrive fused Kyurem.
Then again, the blue and red orbs used to control K and G may be retconned to Mega Stones, as I strongly believe the Soul Dew will be for Mega Lati@s

That's wrong though.. Most forms are very drastic changes. Can you say regular kyurem really looks anything like it's two other forms? Deoxys, shaymin, Giratina, and rotoms all take on complete different shapes and appearances. On the other hand, we have megas such as ampharos, venusaur, and kangaskhan that all are pretty comparable to their regular forms. I'm just saying it's not so crazy to think these are megas, especially since, as you said, they are new and still trying to gain support.
