Why do I love Ash's infernape so much? It's like Primeape and Charizard gave birth to a homicidal mutant with a very short temper

you're a faggot and haven't watched XY. he's been progressing naturally as a trainer since gen 1, not counting gen 5. also he starts without his old pokemon because he doesn't want to start at an advantage, he wants to prove himself as a trainer.

Charizard lost to a Blaziken in Johto, why would it not lose to Infernape, does Ash's Charizard even have an flying moves? I only seem to remember Fire and Fighting moves.

Other than his butt buddy pikachu, he leaves every pokemon he keeps in the region journey back with oak. Of course it would be the smart thing for him to bring his old teams on down and completely wreck and anally obliterate the competition and all that fun, but for milking the series as is and for the producer studio's love for making ash regress in his character progression in every new region he goes to, his optimal thinking is to just bring his pikachu and catch and use the first group of pokemon he encounters along the way. Of course he'll get pokemon for free on the way too.

The unova league tourney was a big disappointment...to a point. in the other tourneys, he'd mix in some of his old team. I can't believe i thought Best Wishes would be the best thing ever...
