Just count your blessings that it has Harvest. MMing hidden abilities is insufferable anxiety. When I opened the summary of mine I covered the ability with my hand because I wasnt mentally prepared for a failure. Luckily the Harvest one hatched first, made me seriously not care about the Natural Cure one that hatched a few minutes later.

Speed can be a problem in the mirror (you generally want either 0 or 31). However, at least I know I won't speed tie with other Mawiles now, I will outspeed Trick Room variants out of Trick Room and non Trick Room variants in Trick Room, and be outsped by both in their element.

So I just hatched a shiny Espurr, female, and not even its hidden ability, and the nature was for the male Meowstic. Wasn't trying for a shiny but it would have been nice. Oh well, time to rot in my PC unless I can find something useful for it. Maybe I'll give it an Ability Capsule for Infiltrator.

Thank you for posting a pic. I'm trying to get 2 shiny female Espurr and a shiny male Espurr. Now I know what to look for. I don't care a whole lot about IVs, though it would be nice to get at least one penta-perfect, so I'm rotating between 2 hexa-perfect Meowstic and 1 Meowstic with a Jap Ditto. When I first started breeding this gen, I MM'd a shiny poochyena in 40 eggs, then a shiny hawlucha a few days later also in around 40.
Both have only 2-3 IVs because I didn't know what I was doing, and of course now that luck is gone

shiny charm might increase odds for MMing it hasn't been confirmed yet, but data is still being collected and it can't hurt.

As for the right odds of hatching with the right stats, if you have two 6iv parents your chance is 1/6 of getting the right stat and 1/32 of getting a perfect. If i remember correctly

Considering that little animation before the encounter starts, I'd guess somewhere around 900-1100; falls someplace in between those, though it did feel like a lot of time (again, due to the animation). In fact, I was pretty surprised it appeared so fast.

Process is quicker, you dont have to "hatch" the fossils.

The odds aren't in your favor, sure, but you burn through like 100 boxes in a week if you set your mind to it.

I only got 16 boxes in, and then stopped because I figured if im gonna' try and get every fossil this way, I should get the Shiny Charm, or else I'll become CombeeGuy 2: Fossil Boogaloo.

Steel said when he did it, it took 80+ boxes without the Charm. I need to do it for the 6 Fossils I don't have. So yeah.

On hold until International Challenge May ends, just finished MMing Mawile for the challenge, quite likely going to be MM Litwick next.

Trust me, I know that. I even have a shiny RayRay in Emerald (Lax, mediocre at best, I don't really care) by RNG abuse.
But that's not really the thrill, is it? What if you KNEW exactly when a critter would shone? Sure, ultimately'd be the same as if it were random, but I find it more exciting when it's completely random and after many REs/SRs/eggs/whatever.
