Would /vp/ accept this in the remakes?
Would this justify those ridiculous odds of it appearing? Manaphy is perfect for Hoenn after all, and it hasn't been distributed properly...ever I think.

That seems too gimmicky. (Happy birthday, I just happened to see Mirage Island!)

Maybe make it a specific date for each player that is determined relative to your birthday? (1 month, 30 days after perhaps)

And if it's an arbitrary number of days after your birthday it's still a gimmick. Why would I care if the character says "Happy Birthday!" or not. That's actually kind of nice.
