Kangaskhan's pretty much the epitome of that syndrome of all my favorite Pokemon. Been using one since Gen II and always trained one up. People weren't too familiar with it so they didn't usually expect how fast it is considering its design, plus I could spam Sucker Punch anytime. Now though everybody knows what it can do, and regular Kang generally plays too similarly only worst to be able to deviate from Mega Kang so the same counters to Mega Kang handles regular Kang just as easily. Still use it every now and then in Battle Spot though. Just a shame that the people who use it probably don't actually like it and only use it for its power.

Why is it smogons fault that Gamefreak practically made a Pokemon with a BST of 50/150/150/150/150/50? Of course something like that will be good. Add in a Ghost and Steel typing, that thing is just begging to be the biggest threat in a singles meta.

I've always liked Mawile. Now that it's strong as fuck and used constantly by Smogon's players, I'm really happy, because now my favorite pokemon has a reputation as being REALLY GODDAMN STRONG.

I liked it ever since its reveal, and learning it was Ghost/Steel.
I was really disappointed when I learned Steel lost its Dark and Ghost resists, and I'm pretty sure Gamefreak did it partly so Aegislash wouldn't be even more powerful than it already is, so I'm VERY unsure how to feel about it.

They pair it with Deoxys-D. Deo spams entry hazards and the enemy switches to something with Defog, which removes hazards and lowers evasion

I got sick of people saying "ALL YOU SEE AT THE TOP OF THE LADDER IS DEOSHARP HO. STALL IS DEAD AND UNVIABLE" so I made that image last month because that statement is just flat out untrue. Yeah, HO is the strongest archetype, but not overwhelmingly so and you can build a defensive team that can be very successful.

And if someone can get 1800 with stall, then that's good enough to me. People who think stall is bad are probably just bad at stall themselves, and build shitty stall teams based on the basis of "if I let HO teams beat the shit out of me for 50 turns I'll win" and don't have a single win condition or any offensive presence whatsoever.

That, or they just parrot shit they hear on /vp/ and have never touched anywhere above 1500 rating.
