>>19271096>>19271121>>19271235Putting in another vote for leading with mixed (!!!) Cloyster with Focus Sash.
Being able to ignore Sturdy/Sash and hit with both spectrum high powered moves is amazing. I use Surf over Hydro Pump (generally does similar damage against all bulky Steels/etc I'd use Water STAB with for about as hard with HPump with 100 acc, also is more reliable against certain non-sashed Fire types since Rock Blast has 90 acc). I highly suggest using a Naughty (+Att -SpDef) nature, since all mons I've faced so far are outsped with a neutral +2 at 252 EVs, maximizing damage potential. Mixed also means that even Burn doesn't slow down your sweep much since you still hit with a +2 STAB 90/110 move with decent neutral coverage.
The mon that best pairs with Sash Smash Mixed Cloyster is a mon that can easily deal with the bulky waters that wall it. It should easily be able to deal with both mons like Empoleon (aka, Grass alone isn't sufficient) and Swampert/Quagsire (Elec alone isn't sufficient). Garchomp also pairs well, being immune to Electric moves, resists Rock, and will rarely be hit by an Ice move when Cloyster starts off with its 4x Ice resist.
Last mon should have bulk enough to switch into stray attacks you don't want to hit your other mons, not dread status like Paralysis/Burn, and be able to do something back (as a general rule for Maison; setup/stall is asking for RNG to screw you over). You basically want a 'glue' that holds your tag team dual offensive core together.
I've personally been using Clefable, which has its pros and cons. Magic Guard is superior in Maison by far; I'm currently liking Calm Mind over Cosmic Power (crit bait), but Calm Mind can't deal with off-the-bat power hits (Rampardos Head Smash, Braviary's Thrash) that sometimes your team needs due to RNG screwing over your other mons.
Megamom does similarly, due to breaking sash, reliable boosts to power through things and good bulk to survive setting up.
